What We Believe

God

We believe in one God eternally existing in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, each of whom is fully God, yet there is one God.
(Deuteronomy 6:4, Jeremiah 32:27, Acts 15:18, Psalm 139:1-10, John 1:1, 14, Matthew 3:16-17, 28:18-20, 1 John 5:20, Acts 5:3-4)

Creation and Providence

We believe that God created the world from nothing and rules over all things at all times in all places.
(Genesis 1:1, 26-27, 3:1-7, Matthew 19:4-6, 24:37-39, Romans 5:12, 18-19, 3:23, 6:23)

The Bible

We believe that the Bible was written by human authors under the authority of the Holy Spirit, and can be trusted as God’s word in its entirety.
(2 Timothy 3:14-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21, Galatians 3:16, Psalm 119:89, 160, John 17:17, Matthew 5:17-18, Revelation 22:18-19)

Sin

We believe that we live in a broken world and it has left the world in desperate need of salvation.
(Genesis. 3, Romans. 3:9-20, Ephesians. 2:1-3)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone.Through faith we are united with the risen Christ, raised with Christ, and granted the same Holy Spirit power that raised Christ.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9, 13, John 3:1-7, 10:27-30, 1 Peter 1:3-5, Romans 8:35-39, 1 John 2:18-19)

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ sent into the world for the glory of God. It is committed to the teachings of Jesus and obeying all his commands.
(Matthew 16:18, 22:34-40, 28:18-20, Ephesians 1:22-23, 3:20-21, 4:11-16, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, Acts 2:41-47, 11:19-30)

Resurrection and the Kingdom of God

We believe that Jesus Christ is returning to the world in the future to judge the living and the dead.
(Acts 1:9-11, 2 Thessalonians 1:3-10, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11, Matthew 24, Daniel 9:27,12:1, Revelation 20:1-6)
